Paradise Hotel & Office Fun!!!

Oh wacky day... oh wacky day!

What a great day in the office. Inspired yesterday after office ice-creams and line dancing, today was fun central in the MC office.

The morning was pretty good. Sam and I opting for our favourite Cafe Chase for transition in the morning. Then at lunch I met with Diego as the office 'social conveners' to organise office fun and meet some new people in copenhagen.

We brainstormed our objectives:-

# To meet new people (hot)
# Love
# To create a nice office environment
# To allow everyone to get to know each other better in MC teams

Then we looked at all the ways we could make it happen. Highlights were Paradise Office which we are running next week, cookies and milk time, afternoon siesta, office quotable quotes, daily challenges, etc. One idea we had was to interview random people in the street, and use that as research for the best places to go in Copenhagen.

So Diego and I hit the streets outside our office, pretending to be doing a research on Danish culture for Copenhagen University.... hahaha. It was hilarious.

But then it started to pour down rain... but that did not phase Diego...determined to interview random hot copenhagen guys. He walks straight up to a random dude, in pouring rain saying ' Do you want to answer some questions...'----- hmmmm the obvious answer, NO!

Hilarious!!!

I am really looking forward to some random times in the office in the next few weeks, should be great fun! Diego and I will plot it all out tomorrow.

Ok, so what about the rest of the day?

Sam and I headed to a new cafe for more transition fun, and sharing about life and AIESEC. It was again, an awesome experience. Thanks Sam, its the worlds longest transition, but also the worlds most inspiring! We are plodding on tomorrow, and tomorrow night for mega sam time.

The cafe we went to aswell was soooo HYGGE! Dim lights, pretzels, and a chilled out attitude means that all day tomorrow, you will be able to find us both there.

Returning to the Huys house we watched Paradise Hotel - The Finale. Huy, Sam, Diego and I have been hooked to the core....it was so great to watch the final episode together...

also post PH google research revealed that Dave has a website http://www.daveboston.com/ . It is hilarous!!

Also we found on it an organisation that exists for former reality tv short contestants.... yes, thats right. Read that line again, and guess what it is called? REALITY CARES!!! How amusing. You can see the org at this link:  http://www.realitycares.org/

Well thats all for now, going to watch some TV with Huy.

COOP Time

What a funny night we had tonight!

Diego and I were discussing the need for more social activity with the MC teams, so I organised a night of sun, drinking and games at the 'gay' park in the centre of copenhagen, and close to the office.

The night was to be a summer sunshine fest, except surprise, surprise there was no sun.

Welcome to summer in Denmark.

After delaying an hour in the office, and engaging in an intense discussion with Soren and Diego on PPP and GNP, we all headed to the cloudy gay park. All meaning - Huy, Sam, Jaylin, Diego, Bergio, Martin, and Vitaly. All internationals and one danish guy.... pretty darn cool.

Vitaly is a trainee from Ukraine, and he brought some beers from Ukraine...OBOLON. So we took a round of cheers in all different languages of the world...INTERNATIONALISM ROCKS!!!

We then decided to embark on a game of COOP. It is a swedish game involving peices of wood. The only thing was that neither Huy nor Bergio could remember the rules... so we were umming and ahhhing all through the game...

... and then the rain came crashing down...

... and down...

... and down...

so we decided, still unclear on the rules and very wet that we would call it a day.

The sad part... we had missed what we think was the Finale of Paradise Hotel. We are hoping to catch it on the weekend run through - fingers crossed.

Now Huy and I are talking about the wicked weekend this week.... hmmm let me post the agenda in a sec--- hold on...

Canadian Excitement... sorry I mean Quebec ...!!

I have been getting more and more excited lately as I have been in contact with some of my friends in Canada.

Adrian (MCP AIESEC Canada 2002-2003) is working in Edmonton, and we are planning a catchup in Montreal and hoping Jen can come from New York aswell for a weekend.

Genevieve (MC Canada 2003-2004) is also living with her boyfriend in Toronto which is apparently only 5 hours on train from Montreal. She is also a native from Quebec. She has told me that I am not going to Canada, I am going to Quebec... which is a whole different world.

Melissa (MC Canada 2003-2004) is also on the msn, and we are going crazy that I am going to Canada. She is currently an MC ceeder for AIESEC in China.

Its sooooo exciting!

I am going to look into flights tomorrow, and book ASAP.

What is with Gas Ovens??

I totally hate gas ovens, I cannot work them out. Huys roomates own a gas oven, and I can never get it started. So I am growing used to microwave food - I have discovered that you can put fish fingers, pizza, and even frozen chips in the microwave for a speedy dinner delight.

Thanks Diego for introducing microwaveable fish fingers into my world a few weeks ago... I have never looked back !!! It is wonderful to just pop a few in the microwave and then 5 minutes later, DONE!

Anyway, today was such an annoying Monday. There is nothing worse than coming back to the office after the inspiring weekend that I had, and my personal drive for the Joy Company. It was back to AIESEC, and was a difficult transition to make.

I tried to make the day more bearable by playing some good music and singing along. That definately helped.

I was also being completely random... something that happens to me when I get really bored, or uninterested in the work that I am doing. And so, I was talking to Pete, who was working on the laptop next to me all day. Chatter, chatter, chatter. I was also throwing a fluffy wombat at the new teams heads with Pete, that was such fun... well more for us, than them I suspect.

I left the office at about 6pm, and realised... It was SUNNY! Oh my goodness, could this really be?

Motivated by the sun, I am trying to organise a night in the park tomorrow night for drinks, and Danish coop games. Hopefully the sun will stay out so that we can all have a nice evening. I have already got a response from a Danish alumni, Steffen that he is also joining with a friend from the US. New people... GREAT!!

Apart from that it has been a pretty normal day, and now I am relaxing at home listening to Norah Jones again... I love this music, it really chills me out at the end of a long day.

I am going to work on the Joy Company plan tonight aswell, so I will be getting my notebook and textas out very very soon. I am also eagerly awaiting the Paradise Hotel episode at 8.30pm.... yes, I am a total sucker for reality TV, and the crappier, the BETTER!!!
Well off I pop to wash the dishes,

Random Inspiration

I caught this quote again today when looking at a website. It always makes me think, so I thought i would capture it on this blog...

"What we think, or what we know, or what we believe, is in the end, of little consequence. The only thing of consequence is what we do. "

Our Organisation - The Joy Company!

What happened in Huy's backyard?

Sam and I realised that we were so similar in so many ways, and were passionate about the exact same thing in our lives. It just became so clear in our conversation.

Both of us talked about who we are, our school lives, the decisions that we had made, and the realisations that we have both had... the same realisations.

I told Sam about the organisation that I want to start up after I have finished my masters year - The Joy Company.

We both got so excited, because it was very much alligned with her passion in life aswell - development and education of youth.

We talked about how the organisation would work, what it would do, who it would involve, the impact that it would have and go amazingly excited...

It was absolutely crazy!!

We talked about who we wanted to drive it, and what the plan would be specifically to make it happen.

At this stage, Diego came along aswell and wanted to know what all the excitement was about. So we told him, with smiles on faces from ear to ear. t was really hard to hold in the excitement of it all. It was all becoming so clear before our eyes, and so tangible. Something that could happen, and that we could really do if we all put our minds and actions to it.

Diego has his own organisation at the moment exporting wine from Mendosa in Argentina to different cities in Europe. He started up the company with some alumni friends from AIESEC about a year ago.

Diego was listening on the idea for the Joy company, and was asking some key questsions like 'How is it going to be financed, how will it run legally etc?'. Hmmm, I have to confess finance and logistics has never been a strong point for me, so I started thinking... we need a Diego person in the company. Someone with the ability to analyse, and implement, but also has a view of the bigger picture.

Maybe... Diego?

We asked Diego what he thought... hmmm, very very interested..

hmmm... ok... IN!!!

He is going to sit down with Sam and I before IC and write a detailed business plan. We really need him to help us break down all the bigger concepts, and also as he has driven entreprenuerial concepts and ideas in establishing his own wine exporting company... so has the experience and skill that we need.

All of us were getting very excited and eager...

and I have to say, I felt so alive. Finally having people see what I see. Have people passionate about the same thing, and want to drive it aswell..

HOORAY!!!

Watch out for more about the Joy Company developments soon, on this blog!!!

Hugs, Mazzy xoxoxo

Weekend of Madness

Exhausted.

Totally exhausted.

The weekend has been crazy, but also inspiring. I have spent most of it with Sam - the plan being to do all of our national HR transition this weekend... hmmm, ok so maybe that never happened.

SATURDAY - TENNIS CLUB DAY

It started out on Saturday. Sam was meeting me at Huy's house, and for the first time ever in the last few months, the sun was brightly shining. Not wanting to waste a second of it we decided to do our transition outside in the lovely weather. However, neither of us knew where to go in the area around Huy's house, so we set off to find a park because '... there had to be one near by, surely...'. Yeah right. We walked for ages, and were wondering if we would ever find a table in the sun, when we asked a danish man walking his dog for directions. He told us where to go an escorted us.

We had a funny conversation with him about Australia. Apparently he had watched a TV show about the Tasmanian Tiger, which was an extinct animal of Australia. He was telling us all these random facts, and it was pretty odd situation, but he was lovely. He told us that we could find a Tennis club with parks etc about 5 minutes away.

We finally reached the park, and it was awesome. Tennis courts, park tables, people picnicing and a Tennis club... well a dodgy tennis club anyway.

Sam and I set up shop at the tables outside of the Tennis club for the day.... it was awesome. Both of us felt like we were in Australia, there was such a local club and outdoors culture. The club was like a bowls club, or a tennis club in the country and so had that nice community feeling to it. We also chatted alot to the lady working in the kitchen, and started to feel a great sense of connection, and just a local community feeling in general...this is not something that I have actually experienced in Denmark before. We also talked to a few of the locals playing tennis, and enquired about the costs of renting a court.

The day itself was good in terms of session content, but the coolest thing was the 'Bullseye' Model that Sam and I developed about organisational workings in AIESEC. We had both been thinking similar things from different parts of the world on the way AIESEC should work as an organisation, and it all came together in about a 30 minute crazy exciteable conversation that left us both completely motivated and energised.

OSCARS & NYHAVN NIGHT

Saturday night was spent drinking on the water at Nyhavn - Sam, Diego, Jay Lin and I. We watched the bottle collector people come and search for bottles, we talked about toilets in different countries and generally had a great time. We then walked up the main street, Stroget, and headed towards the gar bar, Oscars where Diego wanted to go to check out some guys, and the gay scene. Also excited to see the cute guys, we all accompanied him.

Oscars was great - but it is such a shame so many gay guys are SO CUTE!!

We stayed there for a few hours, and then decided to go home by about 3am.

All in all it was a great night :-) Thanks guys.

SUNDAY - DEEP CONVERSATION DAY!

Waking up at about 10.30 and getting ready for transition day.. needless to say, both Sam and I did not feel a huge motivation to do work. So we just sat and talked randomly about AIESEC, life and ourselves.

It was fantastic!

Sharing our thoughts about AIESEC as an organisation, things that really annoy us, how we feel the organisation has no real ambition to change the world - we at least the people within it. Talking about the people we have seen make changes, and the people we predict who will follow 'b' and 'b dash'---- ok, long story to explain it all.

It was exactly what we both needed - but the conversation and realisations we had from it was so important and huge, that it needs a separate posting heading...

so back in a second...!!!

Canada Baby!!

I am off to Montreal!!! YAY!

Thanks Mum & Dad

Yesterday I was having the worst day ever, and came home just wanting to cry and cry and cry.

To start off I was sick in the morning, with a killer headache. Add to this the fact that Í needed to be in meetings regarding common introduction and transition all day which was exhausting.

Then I had an argument with a very close friend regarding something that in the scheme of life is not that important. The thing is, when  I have disagreements with people I care about, it hurts me the most... so I was very upset after this incident.

Then it became the ultimate Jonah day.

I went to see my old roommate to finalise the details for the money and moving out of the apartment. Tired, upset and emotionally drained I arrived at my old residence in Denmark. First blow, the room is not clean enough, start scrubbing. OK, it looks pretty good to me, I thought but yeah I can clean it more to not cause troubles.

Second Blow, there are damages to the room which I will deduct from your deposit. Ok, not good news but not unreasonable a request, I can handle that.

Third Blow, No Mazzy you do not get 4000 deposit returned. You are reading the contract wrong, it is only 2050. But the contract is in Danish I say, I can't read it.... ok lesson learnt for me. Law school should have taught me to be more careful and details focused with my contracts and my life.

Final Blow, So when are you paying this months rent? Hmm.... well I am not living here, so how about... NEVER!! ok, I thought that, but again trying not to cause tension or problems I ask nicely what he is talking about... Apparently according to Danish Law, if you do not move out of your apartment by the 31st of the month, then you are liable to pay the whole next months rent. A fact that my roommate conveniently forgot to tell me when we agreed I would move out on 4th July, after giving the required month in advance notice.

So after all this, not only was I not getting my anticipated 4000 kroner deposit back, I was having to pay an extra 2000 kroner for a month where I was not even living in the apartment, and actually paying rent at another apartment.

This was too much - Canada was no longer an option.

Finally at Huys house again, I cried and cried ... so upset that this could happen, and that the Canada opportunity I would have to decline. I tried to imagine what I would do, now I was not going to Canada, and of course I was getting more upset.

Mum called around this time, and I let out all my troubles on her. I had to tell someone, and share how upset I was. However, I wanted mum to know I was sharing with her as a mother, and not as someone who I would ask for a finacial favour.... because I would feel bad about that if that is what they thought.

Talking to mum helped, and I felt better but by this stage completely and utterly emotionally drained. You know that feeling you have when you have been crying, your eyes feel drained, and you don't want to talk to anyone. You just want to be by yourself? Thats exactly how I felt.

Mum called back about 10 minutes later. She had told Dad the situation. They had discussed it, and felt that it would be a bad idea to pass up the Canada opportunity - and that they would be willing to loan me the money to get to Canada.

I told mum that I would think about it throughout the day, and talk to her at night after deciding what to do. Talking to mum this morning, I realised that it is best for me to go to Canada because going back to Australia with no immediate plans, I know I may end up feeling upset that I was able to go to a great position in Canada and I was so close, but due to money was unable to accept it.

SO I guess, with mum and dads help I am able to go to Canada after all!!

Its an amazing feeling of relief, and gratefulness. I am not excited yet, as I am still apprehensive that something might happen, and I may still not go. But at this stage, taking a loan from my family I should be able to work in montreal as I had planned.

BUT I just wanted to say.. THANK YOU SO MUCH MUM AND DAD! I don't think you realise how much this means to me, and how grateful I am. Soon, when I am more financially stable I will pay you both back, with commission.

THANK YOU.

Love and Hugs, Mazzy xoxoxo

Memories of the Year

Wednesday, July 14, 2004

Moving out of 6 Vævergade 6, Nørrebro DK

I have finally moved out of my place in København and into Huys house for a month. It was weird moving the last of my furniture out, and thinking about how the ending of my time in Denmark is coming closer each day.

So many memories in a single room.

Tick Incident

Yesterday Lil and I had a hilarious incident involving ticks. On the weekend, when we were at the summer house, a few of the Danes informed us to 'Be careful of the Ticks'.

Lil and I were like... WHAT? WHAT TICKS?

We were told that there are ticks in the forests in Summer, and that they jump onto you when you are walking out in nature.

WHOA...Naturally having grown up with the information that ticks are lethal, can cause paralysis, and result in death - both Lil and I were paranoid the entire weekend.

Home at last, and feeling free of Tick hysteria, we came to the office for work on Monday. Neils popped in to send a fax abroad, and told us that he found 3 ticks on his body on Sunday night, and Ann also had to remove a tick.

Obviously Lil and I felt uncomfortable at this information, and resolved to check ourselves when we got home that night.

Having checked that evening we felt confident that we were tick free.

Tuesday morning arrives.... I feel sick. Have a headache. Have fatigue. Got a fever.

Uh oh... what is going on?

Checking my body after the shower I find a rash, and red spot.

OH MY GAWD I scream to Lil - I have been bitten by a tick.

Paranoid with fear I head straight to google to look up Tick symptoms.

Sure enough my symptoms relate to tick bites.

By this stage I am hysterical, I am of course not sure how much time is left that I have to deal with.

LIL LIL LIL LIL WHAT TO DO!! LIL LIL LIL!!!!!!!!!

So I call Niels - Tick expert for he should have the answer. Neils finding the whole incident hilarious takes awhile to get to serious consultation, but confirms my greatest fear, that I may infact have been bitten by a malicious tick monster.

I apply his technique of putting honey on the rash - the idea being to suffocate the little dude if he exists in there.

Well anyway, waking up this morning I am going to the Doctor to check it out, but hopefully it is just tick hysteria.

Shake me, Shake me

Just sitting here in Huys place with Lil and reflecting on what is next for me. What I really want is something TOTALLY different, and something that will shake my foundations as a person.

I need an environment that is opposite from the Danish one I have been living in for the past year, something in my face..

Thinking thinking thinking....

D&M's - Just at the right time.

On the weekend away in Northern Zealand, Lil and I had a long D&M about life, AIESEC, our lives and where we were headed.

This conversation for me in many ways represents a turning point.

You know how sometimes in life you have a conversation with a close friend, and in that dialogue you realise certain things about yourself and your life? For me, these conversations seem to come along just at the time I need them... or maybe, when I am most aware of what they are saying, or what I get from them.

Talking with Lil on Saturday night, I have decided that I think I will pull out of the Canada traineeship pool, the concordia position that I was interested in. I do not think it is what I need at this stage in my life - it is not what will energise me.

It is a wonderful opportunity and suits me in so many ways, and yet intuitively I know it is not what I need at this current time. I need to be immersed in something completely different, in a completely different culture that is in my face. TOTALLY IN MY FACE.

In a country where I am getting my hands dirty in the community work, where I am interacting with people from different countries, travelling and feeling ALIVE!!

I want to do something out of my comfort, in an area that is not necessarily aligned with my vision for the future.... in doing this I hope to get some energy, and re-ignite my spirit. I am thinking of several traineeship projects working with children and learning at this level, and getting more excited. I am also looking at Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.

I want to get out into new cultures SOOOOOOOOOOOOO different from my own, where I can see, feel, breathe the new culture - and then go back to Oz for my masters.

That is another desire I have - to go home for awhile. To catch up with friends in Sydney, see my family, feel the Australian spirit and culture again...I am ready for a year in Oz again, before travelling the world once I have gained my masters degree in Education.

Home.

Australia.

I never thought I would have the strong desire to go home, and see people as much as I do now, to see Sydney, to eat diverse foods, to see lots of different cultures.... but most to see family and friends...

Well I am going to try and get back for Christmas if possible...

Summerhus' Fun

Here are some photos from the weekend at Niels Summerhouse in Northern Zealand.

The people who stayed at the summer hous: Sille, Lise, Louise, Ann, Niels, Signe, Anne, Katrine, Maiken, and Stine.

Lil and I at the beach! HOORAY!! FINALLY!!! But where is the sun?

In session time!!

NMS Gals

My crazy London boat party friends, and NMS facilitator team room 311 in Latvia. From left to right: Me, Katrijn (The Netherlands), Lynsey (UK), and Susie (UK).

ITC 2004

Here are some more photos I found from ITC. They are pictures of my team, Jungle Boogie! What an amazing group! Rose (Kenja), Anja (Denmark), Max (Croatia), Michael (Poland), Sven (Estonia), Giovanni (Italy), and Carissa (Switzerland).

World Santa Claus Congress

I remember when I arrived in Copenhagen last year, and sighted a bus full of santa clauses driving past...

I did a double take - what the ...????

And so I discovered they were delegates at the Annual World Santa Claus Congress. I stumbled across a decstription of the event again today.

If you are interested have a look, its hilarious:

http://www.woco.dk/composite-3648.htm

I am going to organise a group of people to attend... how many people can say they attended a World Santa Claus congress in Denmark???

Maz Time with a capital M

You know sometimes that you just need time alone. Time away from the daily routines, and stresses. Time away from people and crowds. Time away to just relax and reflect.

That is exactly where I am at right now.

Finally, I am alone in Huys apartment, listening to some music, doing my washing, and writing in my blog.... and it is exactly what I need.

The last few weeks have been a haze of activity and chaos. The new team arrived for transition, and since that time it has been go go go with barely a moment to breathe. Transition, Lil at my house, NPM, London, Team days, Kristian Visit, moving in with Huy, and finally...

peace.

Its amazing how if I do not have at least an hour alone a day, then I go CRAZY!!! Absolutely nutty...

So here's to a wonderful night ahead with me, myself and I.... reading, writing, matching, TV.... but most importantly energising my soul again before the weekend of planning with LC UNIC that awaits.

The Future......????

So for everyone that is mailing me, I am still not matched.

I am awaiting a response from Canada still (should know by Friday... man, halleluliah for that), and also looking into other options in India/Asia.

I want to start in September, and finish about January so I can commence my masters in education at Sydney University...

Speaking of which I better start my application soon... AHHHH WHERE IS THE TIME???

Ok, I am now at Huys house where I will be living for the next month. It has been a nice night moving in, with Huy shouting me an Indonesian dinner at a restuarant around the corner from his house...

THANKS HUY! YOU ROCK!!!

So anyway, now I am living with Huy and using his housemates computer to try and get updated with my blog entries....

Ok, I am up to the point after my London trip - TEAMDAYS WITH BOTH NEW AND OLD MC TEAMS.

For a thorough account of this, I have to recommend you read Lils blog (llyc.blogspot.com) - she has captured the essence of the trip so nicely there, and has uploaded some photos aswell.

So we stayed there for a week of planning, eating, cooking, walks to the water and 'Friends'.

Exhuasted on Friday we returned home.

But I had Kristian, a friend from AALBORG in Northern Denmark coming to visit so there was not rest for the weary. Arriving back in Copenhagen at 6.30pm, he arrived at the MC office at 7.00pm...

AHHHHH.......But luckily he was also tired, so we got some DVDs and watched movies through the night.

Saturday we went in to Copenhagen for the Jazz festival which was great fun with free jazz all around the town.

Saturday night was more talking and movies, and sunday was packing to move out, after brifely meeting with another friend Morten.

So Today I was so happy to have some time alone and chill out, even though I have loved the constant activity.... I need Maz time in a major way....

Maybe thats why i am typing more entries in the computer... its an outlet.

MORE London Action

A LA BOAT PARTY

So Boat Party. Well we transported from the PWC drinks on the tube to the London Tower. Neicey and I got lost though, so we running and after finally spotting how to get to the other embankment, we were the last ones to board the boat.

The Party itself was fantastic, over 311 people on a boat travelling down the Thames river .... pretty amazing stuff. I bumped into so many people on the Boat: Inka (Slovakia), Rado (Slovakia), Carey & Lou Lou (Australia), Tom, (UK), Alba (Malta), Pedro (Portugal), some friends from Ireland and lots of people from UK.... it was awesome.

We got off the boat at about 2.30am and headed in taxis to Lynsey and Andreas house with about 15 other people. We cooked, drank and had a lot of fun.

SATURDAY HARRODS

After spending 2 hours on sat deciding what to do with the day we went to Harrods department store... the famous Harrods. It was pretty cool, especially the Egyptian elevators.

We then watched the Olympic torch relay at Picadilly circus, up the West End, to Big Ben, London Eye and Trafalgar Square.

Exhausted we went back to Canary wharf to watch some movies.

SUNDAY CHILL OUT DAY

Shopping, lunchtime crepes and goodbyes to a wonderful weekend.... and a visit to TOP SHOP, a great accessorie store, and a major reason to move to London.... LOVED THAT HAIR SUSE!!!!

All in all it was an amazing weekend, THANKS EVERYONE WHO MADE IT SO SPECIAL!!!!

London Boat Trip .... Yeah Baby!

LONDON.... Amazing.

Catching up with some of my favourite people in the world was such a blast like you cannot believe.

THURSDAY NIGHT AT SUSIES COUNTRY HOUSE

It all started when I arrived at Stansted airport to a crazy, smiley Susie. She had just watched England's defeat in the Euro 2004 soccer championship - something that the captain of our easy jet plane let us all know when we landed.

Trust me, arriving in London just as their hopes for euro 2004 victory was being crushed, was a fun fun experience.

I spent the night at Susies old English country house about 10 minutes from Stansted airport. Man, what a house. Honestly, it reminded me so much of the Hobbits house in LOTR... of which I told Suse and her family on several occasions. So many small hallways, and secret rooms, and surrounded by lush green English country side.

Suse and I spent the night (my birthday) gossiping and catching up before getting some beauty sleep for the Boat party that was to follow the following night.

FRIDAY MORNING - READY, SET, GO!

Suse and I were picked up by Susies boyfriend, and driven to a station near London. We then hopped on a train, and then the tube to go to the MC office.

'Mind the Gap' - yes of course the famous words caused excitement that I was in London, as did the Tube map (of which I brought a copy home to Copenhagen).

SO.... anyway... we rocked up to the MC office which was packed with people dressed and preparing for the UK Annual Review that day. I met up with Lynsey.... AHHHH! So amazing. Also meeting up with Neiceys boyfriend in UK, Mark Duffield and Guy a good friend from IC. Then Katrijn from The Netherlands arrived, and we were all screaming.... NMS REUNION ROOM 311 IN DA HOUSE!!!!

Seeing that Lyns was stressed preparing, Suse, Katrijn and I headed out to discover London.

LONDON FUN ON A FRIDAY

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... well at least try.

We bumped into a funny guy, Phil on the way (he apparently was Neiceys housemate last year) so we shared lots of funny stories and laughs..... *Oh you are THAT Mazzy he would say!!!'

We all got a nite to eat at the Markets, and watched some Charlie Chaplin street theatre for awhile. Then Katrijn and I headed for the Red buses, whilst Suse and Phil headed for the UK Annual Review.

The Red Double decker buses were awesome.... and we were having a great time just chatting and catching up on them. We decided to look at some sites after awhile .... St Pauls Cathederal, London Tower, London Bridge and Piccadilly Circus.

Then the fun started as we went back to Susies house to get pretty for the Boat party and PWC drinks. Dresses, perfume, showers and toast :-)

PWC DRINKS

PWC drinks and awards were cool, but the best part was meeting up with Neicey - all the gossip and fun.... we skipped some awards, got a wine and didn't stop talking till we left.

So wonderful. :-)

Walked outside - there stands Carey and Lou Lou in front of me.... OH MY GAWD!!! My first MCP in AIESEC, the most inspiring guy and someone I have not seen in years. It was so good to catch up with my AIESEC Icon.... ok, that may be going too far, but yeah it was good.

I am still alive!!!!!!!!

Yes, I have not yet dropped off the face of the earth... but I am mega busy. Since my last post my birthday has come and gone, I have had an amazing weekend in London, teamdays with new MC team in a summer house all last week, and a friend Kristian from Aalborg visiting all this weekend...

so naturally I am desparately craving some time alone...

I have to run now to pack and move my house (I am moving into Huys house for the next month to save some money), but I will give detailed updates about all that has been happening tomorrow night when I have a chance to breathe again.
