London Boat Trip .... Yeah Baby!
LONDON.... Amazing.
Catching up with some of my favourite people in the world was such a blast like you cannot believe.
THURSDAY NIGHT AT SUSIES COUNTRY HOUSE
It all started when I arrived at Stansted airport to a crazy, smiley Susie. She had just watched England's defeat in the Euro 2004 soccer championship - something that the captain of our easy jet plane let us all know when we landed.
Trust me, arriving in London just as their hopes for euro 2004 victory was being crushed, was a fun fun experience.
I spent the night at Susies old English country house about 10 minutes from Stansted airport. Man, what a house. Honestly, it reminded me so much of the Hobbits house in LOTR... of which I told Suse and her family on several occasions. So many small hallways, and secret rooms, and surrounded by lush green English country side.
Suse and I spent the night (my birthday) gossiping and catching up before getting some beauty sleep for the Boat party that was to follow the following night.
FRIDAY MORNING - READY, SET, GO!
Suse and I were picked up by Susies boyfriend, and driven to a station near London. We then hopped on a train, and then the tube to go to the MC office.
'Mind the Gap' - yes of course the famous words caused excitement that I was in London, as did the Tube map (of which I brought a copy home to Copenhagen).
SO.... anyway... we rocked up to the MC office which was packed with people dressed and preparing for the UK Annual Review that day. I met up with Lynsey.... AHHHH! So amazing. Also meeting up with Neiceys boyfriend in UK, Mark Duffield and Guy a good friend from IC. Then Katrijn from The Netherlands arrived, and we were all screaming.... NMS REUNION ROOM 311 IN DA HOUSE!!!!
Seeing that Lyns was stressed preparing, Suse, Katrijn and I headed out to discover London.
LONDON FUN ON A FRIDAY
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... well at least try.
We bumped into a funny guy, Phil on the way (he apparently was Neiceys housemate last year) so we shared lots of funny stories and laughs..... *Oh you are THAT Mazzy he would say!!!'
We all got a nite to eat at the Markets, and watched some Charlie Chaplin street theatre for awhile. Then Katrijn and I headed for the Red buses, whilst Suse and Phil headed for the UK Annual Review.
The Red Double decker buses were awesome.... and we were having a great time just chatting and catching up on them. We decided to look at some sites after awhile .... St Pauls Cathederal, London Tower, London Bridge and Piccadilly Circus.
Then the fun started as we went back to Susies house to get pretty for the Boat party and PWC drinks. Dresses, perfume, showers and toast :-)
PWC DRINKS
PWC drinks and awards were cool, but the best part was meeting up with Neicey - all the gossip and fun.... we skipped some awards, got a wine and didn't stop talking till we left.
So wonderful. :-)
Walked outside - there stands Carey and Lou Lou in front of me.... OH MY GAWD!!! My first MCP in AIESEC, the most inspiring guy and someone I have not seen in years. It was so good to catch up with my AIESEC Icon.... ok, that may be going too far, but yeah it was good.
