What a FANTASTIC DAY!!!
After such a relaxing and positive weekend, I came into work today a little anxious. I had a presentation at the staff meeting on all the work I have been doing, and the results so far.
I was feeling a little apprehensive about it, as my supervisor was putting subtle pressure to 'please do a good job', so I felt i was presenting for both of us. It was weird, because usually I would be in my element presenting, so the added pressure and anxiousness was a new feeling. As national director, it is a usual thing to stand in front of people and present, just part of the role.
However, once started I relaxed and felt comfortable. I LOVE explaining concepts, gauging group feeling and interest... lets face it: training and being on the stage. I got SO MUCH natural energy from taking that role, it is definately the area I know I need to be... not sitting behind a desk all the time, but engaging and relating to people.
I HAVE RE-SPARKED THE FIRE OF MOTIVATION AT WORK!!!
Have more to write but now I am off to Kristins house.... Movies and Internet!!
