The Amazing Roadtrip!

If I have to confess a love for one show on television, I would have to say it is The Amazing Race. What I love about it is that through the game I get to see different places in the world, places that I have been too and places that I dream about. Each week it is the only hour that I am regimented in front of the TV... strongly implementing the 'talking is not advised' rule.

Why am I sharing this?

1. If anyone seriously wants to put in an entry form with me... let me know. I would be up for something crazy like that.

2. It makes me even more excited to Travel North America before I head off on a new journey.... SOOOO a few of us are proposing a roadtrip:

MARCH US ROADTRIP

We are looking at travelling from Montreal to Boston, New York and Washington DC from the 10th - 15th of March. We are renting a car so it will be super cheap, and hopefully can crash at a few AIESECers houses in the US while we are there :-)

If anyone is up for joining in, or meeting up with us.... feel free, the more the merrier.

We are just filling up spots in the car now.

SUPER EXCITED!

I have watched The Amazing Race faithfully for all 6 seasons! I can't wait for March - Season 7 Season 7!
It is the ONLY reality show that I think is worth its salt - you get to see the world, experience different cultures and traditions and there is human drama to boot! Unfortunately Mazzy - the contest is only open to Americans :(

btw: Happy Road Trip planning :)

I am totally in! Reference Marianne's weblog- my travelin shoes are starting to itch.
Recently when in Barnes and Noble- I had an impulse-buy: The Bad Girl's Guide to the Open Road.
This inspired me to attack Marianne about a boat/road trip. I think it could come in quite handy in this instance as well. Just be sure to bring: duct tape, a nerf football, and marshmallows.
Seriously though Maz- I'm in.

Mistress Madness.... Only open to Americans.... really, NO WAY!!

Chris... If we can enter, I will certainly enter with you... although your self proclaimed inability to make decisions could pose as an obstacle to us winning ;-) Just kidding

The Amazing Race

Scene: London Heathrow
Team: Mazzy and Chris, two adopted Montrealeans far from home
Position: First
Chris: I think I'm hungry...no wait, thirsty. Ummmm. Food. Drink. Food? Drink? Maz? What do you think?
Mazzy: Umm, I don't know. This drink looks cool, but I think that sausage roll looks good...
Chris: Hey, didn't you have a sausage roll the last time you were in London, you were telling that story once...
Mazzy: Yeah, yeah! That's right! And it was even at this very same place!
Chris: Hey, that's cool, I think we should take a photo so we can blog it...but should I get a drink or food...what do you think?
Mazzy: Um, I don't' know... What do you think? [asks vendor]
Vendor: Both?
Chris and Mazzy, simultaneously: Great idea!
Mazzy: Now, about that photo for my blog...

[Camera cuts to last possible plane they can catch lifting off, text at the bottom says: Mazzy and Chris - currently in Last Place]

yes - Amazing Race contestants are only American - so not fair so not fair! You can check it out at the website - I'm not sure of the exact addy: but try CBS.com - that's the starting point - then search the tv shows - it's quite an interesting site for AR
