ABN AMRO Building, Amsterdam, Netherlands. The time: 3pmThe occasion: World Cup game with Australia v JapanThe viewing: Only possible by pressing the refresh button on the computer. The People: Human Resources, Led by Loz and myself as head cheer squad.Gosh, it was amazing.1 goal to Japan untill the last 15 minutes where every time we pressed refresh we would let out new screams of delight as we discovered Australia had equalised and then SURPASSED Japan with an end score of 3 to 1.AMAZING!Loz and I were jumping around the office, causing co-workers to laugh and share the goodness of our win. Also the Lotus notes in ABN AMRO for the Aussie community was going strong - with Dave Bowley, sharing that he was watching the match in the canteen on Level 2 and almost jumped a dutch man with hugs at the finale of the game.Seriously proud - and its ONLY just the beginning!Come on Aussie, come on, come on!!!

For some people time stands still...
You know those friends that you have that it does not matter how much time passes, where you travel, or how your lives have gone in different directions - the moment you see each other it is as if no time has passed at all?People who know you... and I mean REALLY KNOW you - the friends who have seen you drunk, sad, happy, at the height of frustration - but stay standing by you, because you share a connection that goes beyond all the crap?I was blessed this weekend with a visit of such friends. This weekend Jen, Denise and Jacs came to Amsterdam - and crazy amounts of fun were had by all.Reminiscing about our RB days together, sharing some old time line dances at Hotel Verdi, Wagamamma-ering it up, going to the ONLY place to take three Aussie gals in Amsterdam... COCO'S AUSSIE PUB in Rembrandtplein, getting out the wine and talking till the wee hours, going to a great park on a chilled sunday, and experiencing ALL Amsterdam has to offer. What is amazing about catching up with old friends is that it reminds you of who you are, who you were, who you really still are - but perhaps different environments pull you in different ways. This weekend was like a breath of fresh air for me - for all of us!
THANKS GALS!!!I will post some photos when Jen uploads them... NO PRESSURE!Another weekend with Jen after I return from London... WOO HOO!Let the good times roll!
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHOne word says it all.
